Floyd receives 2016 Outstanding Teacher Award
Each year, six members of NC State's faculty join the ranks of the Academy of Outstanding Teachers upon receiving the Outstanding Teacher Award. This year, selected by the Senior Class Council, Dr. Brian Floyd, Associate Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at NC State was recognized with the Award for his excellence as a teacher and mentor.
Engineering researchers led by Dr. Paul Franzon, have developed a suite of techniques that allow them to create passive radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags that are 25 percent smaller and less expensive.
Dr. Edgar Lobaton, assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University, has received a Faculty Early Career Development Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
Dr. Alper Bozkurt, an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University, has received a Faculty Early Career Development Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The award, known as the NSF CAREER Award, is one of the highest honors given by NSF to young faculty in science and engineering.
In January 2016, Dr. Laura Bottomley will be recognized for the value of this work by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest professional association for the advancement of technology.
