NCSU ECE Undergraduate Team Wins Best Energy Efficiency Award at IEEE Competition
In July of 2015, a team of four NCSU ECE undergraduate students participated for the first time in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Future Energy Competition (IFEC) and won the best Energy Efficiency award at the final competition at the University of Sheffield, UK.
Suraaj Doshi and Kyle Linton worked to together to propel the idea of a smart cigarette case that communicates with a smoker's smartphone to record who the smoker is with as well as where and when a smoker reaches for a cigarette.
