🚀 Christina Koch, an alumna of NC State ECE, will be honored with the North Carolina Award for Science—the state`s highest civilian accolade—during a gala at the Raleigh Marriott City Center on November 14. Governor Roy Cooper will present this award, celebrating Koch’s groundbreaking work as a NASA astronaut.
Koch, who grew up in Jacksonville, NC, spent 328 days aboard the International Space Station, breaking records and advancing space exploration. She’s also an advocate for STEM education, often returning to NC State to inspire the next generation of engineers and explorers.
