Summer Undergraduate Research Internship Opportunity

The University of Texas at Austin Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering (UT PGE) 2020 Summer Undergraduate Research Internship (SURI) program runs from June 1 – August 7.

SURI brings together innovative undergraduate student minds from prestigious universities across the country to UT PGE to research significant energy topics with world-class faculty members.

Interns receive an insider look at graduate level work conducted at UT PGE, home to the No. 1 petroleum engineering graduate and undergraduate programs in the country according to the 2020 U.S. News & World Report rankings. In addition to participating in the meaningful academic research, interns learn about the diverse areas of petroleum and geosystems engineering and build strong relationships with their cohort.

SURI is a rewarding 10-week program, offering a $4,000 stipend for visiting students. In addition, UT PGE provides funding to travel to Austin and housing in an on-campus residence hall that includes a stipend for meals. For UT students the program offers a $5,000 stipend, which does not include housing or meal stipends.
