The ECE Graduate Office provides official letters upon request. All letters are signed by the Director of the Graduate Program and placed on official department letterhead.

On-Track to Graduate Letter
Typically for students sponsored by their home country, government, or employer who require proof that they are making satisfactory progress towards graduation.

Please contact the Graduate Office directly to request this letter. When emailing, please include the following information:

• First and Last Name
• Student ID Number
• Program
• Year Entered Program & Expected Graduation Date

Degree Completion Letter
Eligible Students: Master of Science Thesis and Ph.D. students only.

• For PhD Students: You can obtain a letter of completion from the Graduate School, rather than from the department. Once you complete your oral exam, submit your final error free dissertation to the Graduate School, and your committee approves your final dissertation, the Graduate School will be able to issue you a Letter of Completion that you can use as proof of degree completion This will certify that you have completed all requirements for your degree. • For MS Thesis: You can obtain a letter of completion from the Graduate School, rather than from the department. The Graduate School will be able to issue you a Letter of Completion that can you as proof of degree completion. This will certify that you have completed all requirements for your degree. Enrollment Verification Letter
Current domestic and international students can obtain a free enrollment verification through MyPack Portal. From the Student Homepage, navigate to Academic Records and select Enrollment Verification from the left-hand navigation menu. If additional information is required on the verification, students should request through the link below.

Letters We Do Not Provide
Due to our large student volume, the Graduate Office cannot prepare individualized letters for the following

• Graduation Invitation Letters: An invitation letter isn’t a required document for a visa appointment, but most families like to have something with them when they go to their appointments so we encourage students to write the letter themselves and then have it notarized before sending it to their families. OIS has notaries that are free, but the student needs to call their office to schedule an appointment with them. They also have an example of an invitation letter on their website ​(under Miscellaneous Forms) that students can use as a guide.
• Travel Letters: ECE Graduate Students do not need permission from the ECE Graduate office or DGP to travel.
