COE Travel Award Funds

Please review the following important guidelines before applying:

Deadlines & Timing

  • Apply in Advance: You must request these funds well in advance of your travel date. Funding will not be approved retroactively after your travel has already taken place.

Funding Caps

For the 2026–2027 academic year, funds are approved for:

  • Domestic travel: Up to $1,000 or half of your estimated costs, whichever is less.
  • International travel: Up to $1,500 or half of your estimated costs, whichever is less.

Eligibility & Availability

  • One-Time Award: The COE travel award is a one-time funding opportunity available throughout your entire graduate program in ECE. If you have previously received this funding, please do not complete the request form so that these limited resources remain available for other eligible students.
  • First-Come, First-Served: These funds are allocated for the 2026–2027 academic year and are available until June 30, 2027, or until funding runs out. We highly encourage you to apply early.
  • Travel Dates: If your travel falls after June 30, 2027, please wait to apply until the 2027–2028 academic year cycle opens.

Funding is not guaranteed and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.  

To get started, please complete our ECE Graduate Student COE Travel Fund Request Google Form. Once you submit the form, we will review your details and submit the official request to the College of Engineering (COE) for processing. We will notify you as soon as a decision has been made.
