Access to our facilities requires a Safety Training, for which you must register on REPORTER.

MakerSpace 101 – Safety Training

Required introductory safety orientation for ECE students that wish to take advantage of the state-of-the-art Makerspace facilities in EBII. The current training is only offered online via REPORTER.

MakerSpace 201 – 3D Printing

Want to take advantage of the 3D printing facilities for ECE students in the Makerspace in Engineering Building II? Complete this short online course on how to prepare and send jobs to the 3D printing system, as well as how to retrieve the prints. 3D printing is for ECE students only.

MakerSpace 202 – WAZER

Waterjet cutters are typically industrial-sized tools that use a combination of high-pressure water and an abrasive material such as sand to cut through material. Gain access to the latest cutter in the ECE MakerSpace with this online course.

MakerSpace 210 – Intro to PCB Maker

Special Equipment Training will be available online soon

Required safety and usage orientation for ECE students that wish to take advantage of the PCB Maker in the MakerSpace facilities in EBII. Training is weekly on Wednesdays from 3 pm to 5 pm.

MakerSpace 211 – Intro to ShopBot

Special Equipment Training will be available online soon

Required safety and usage orientation for ECE students that wish to take advantage of the ShopBot Desktop Max in the MakerSpace facilities in EBII. Training is on the second Thursday of the month from 3 pm to 5 pm.

MakerSpace 212 – Intro to Pick and Place

Special Equipment Training will be available online soon

Safety and usage orientation is required for all students who wish to take advantage of the Pick and Place Machine in the MakerSpace facilities in EBII. Training is on the first Thursday of the month from 3 pm to 5 pm.

MakerSpace 203 – Intro to Hand Soldering Through Hole

PCB and components are provided for this training.
