    Speaker: Helen Li
    Distinguished Professor
    Duke University

    Hai (Helen) Li is the Marie Foote Reel E’46 Distinguished Professor and Department Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Duke University. She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Tsinghua University, and her Ph.D. degree from Purdue University. Her research interests include neuromorphic circuits and systems for brain-inspired computing, machine learning acceleration and trustworthy AI, conventional and emerging memory design and architecture, and software and hardware co-design. Dr. Li served/serves as the Associate Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor for multiple IEEE and ACM journals. She was the General Chair or Technical Program Chair of multiple IEEE/ACM conferences and the Technical Program Committee member of over 30 international conference series. Dr. Li has received many awards, including the IEEE Edward J. McCluskey Technical Achievement Award, Ten Year Retrospective Influential Paper Award from ICCAD, TUM-IAS Hans Fischer Fellowship from Germany, ELATE Fellowship, nine best paper awards, and another ten best paper nominations from IEEE/ACM. Dr. Li is a fellow of IEEE, ACM, and NAI.

    University of Virginia

    "Nicola Bezzo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering(ECE ) with courtesy appointments in Systems and Information Engineering (SIE) and Computer Science (CS) at the University of Virginia (UVA). Prior to UVA he was a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania in the Precise Center working on research related to assured and resilient autonomy. He obtained his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of New Mexico working on multi-robot systems motion planning and control under communication uncertainties.
    At UVA he leads the Autonomous Mobile Robots Lab (AMR Lab) and he is also part and a founding member of the CPS-focused LINK Lab. His research interests span: multi-robot and heterogeneous robotic systems coordination, safe and agile motion planning and control of mobile robots under uncertainties, embodied and cognitive reasoning in robotics, and resilient and assured autonomy.
    He is the recipient of the 2025 DARPA Young Faculty Award, the 2022 Amazon Faculty Research Award, and the Gold Medal from the Polytechnic University of Milan. His work has received multiple Best Paper Awards and recognitions at top venues including RAM, ICCPS, SIEDS. His research is supported by DARPA, NSF, ONR, and AFRL. His industry collaborators and sponsors include Northrop Grumman, Amazon, Boeing, CoStar, MITRE, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Leidos. He is an IEEE Senior Member, an associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on Robotics, and he has served on the editorial board and as an organizers for several conferences like ICRA, IROS, ACC, ICCPS."

    Associate Professor
    UC San Diego

    "Dinesh Bharadia is an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and the Klein Gilhousen Chancellor’s Endowed Chair at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where he leads the Wireless Communication Sensing and Networking Group (WCSNG). He earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2016, followed by a Postdoctoral Associate position at MIT. In 2018, he joined UCSD as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to a tenured position in 2022.

    His research focuses on the design and prototyping of advanced systems for communication, sensing, and networking, with applications spanning privacy, security, robotics, health, and everyday life. His work has driven new research directions across fields such as communication theory, RFIC design, and robotics. Many of his innovations have been successfully translated into startups and commercial products, including Haila, Kumu Networks, and Totemic Labs.

    Under his leadership, the WCSNG group has secured funding from sources including NSF, industry partners, and DoD grants. This funding supports a vibrant team of more than 40 students at any given time, helping train the next generation of engineers and scientists. He has received numerous prestigious accolades for his contributions to wireless research, including being named to Forbes 30 Under 30 (Science) and MIT Technology Review’s Innovators Under 35 list."
