Letter Request
Current domestic and international students can obtain a free enrollment verification through MyPack Portal. From the Student Homepage, navigate to Academic Records and select Enrollment Verification from the left-hand navigation menu. If additional information is required on the verification, students should request through the link below.

- For PhD Students. You can obtain a letter of completion from the Graduate School, rather than from the department. Once you complete your oral exam, submit your final error free dissertation to the Graduate School, and your committee approves your final dissertation, the Graduate School will be able to issue you a Letter of Completion that you can use as proof of degree completion This will certify that you have completed all requirements for your degree. Contact Jennifer Beaman (jmcrumb@ncsu.edu), in the Graduate School, with this request.
- For MS Thesis: You can obtain a letter of completion from the Graduate School, rather than from the department. The Graduate School will be able to issue you a Letter of Completion that can you as proof of degree completion. This will certify that you have completed all requirements for your degree. The ECE Graduate Office does not prepare, verify, or sign off on formal invitation letters for graduation ceremonies.
If you require an invitation letter for family or friends to attend graduation, you are encouraged to create your own.

Please follow these steps carefully to ensure your letter is accurate:
- Fill in the Blue Boxes: Enter the following personal details into the highlighted fields:
- Today’s Date
- Full Name
- Student ID Number
- Select Your Program: Use the Up and Down arrow keys on your keyboard to toggle through and select your specific academic program.
- Enter Travel Dates: Input your intended Departure Date and Return Date.
- Save Your Document: Once the information is entered, save the file as a PDF to your device or print it directly.
IMPORTANT The body of the travel letter is standardized and cannot be edited. Neither the student nor the Graduate Office will add extra information, custom remarks, or additional details to this letter. The document is generated as is based on the information provided in the required fields.
This letter is strictly for Graduate Students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. This document is not authorized for use by students, faculty, or staff outside of this department.
