Letter Request
ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION LETTER
- Students can request a verification of enrollment through Registration and Records in person, by email, mail or fax if additional information is required, for example, an expected date of graduation or specific coursework. This verification can be mailed, emailed, or faxed directly to the student, and to another recipient with signed permission from the student.

DEGREE COMPLETION LETTER: FOR MS Thesis and PhD Students Only
- For PhD Students. You can obtain a letter of completion from the Graduate School, rather than from the department. Once you complete your oral exam, submit your final error free dissertation to the Graduate School, and your committee approves your final dissertation, the Graduate School will be able to issue you a Letter of Completion that you can use as proof of degree completion This will certify that you have completed all requirements for your degree. Contact Jennifer Beaman (jmcrumb@ncsu.edu), in the Graduate School, with this request.

GRADUATION LETTER
- The ECE Graduate Office does not prepare invitation letters for graduation. If you are an exchange visitor would like to invite family members, friends, or relatives to visit the United States temporarily, you may write your own invitation letter to assist in obtaining a temporary visitor visa (B-2) from the U.S. Consulate in their home country. This invitation letter does not need to be reviewed by the ECE Graduate Office or the Office of International Services (OIS).
