ComSciCon: science communication workshops for graduate students

Graduate students conducting research in science, technology, health, mathematics, and related fields are invited to apply for ComSciCon-Triangle 2019 (Applications are due Friday February 8th), a science communication workshop organized by and for graduate students in North Carolina.

At this two-day conference, attendees will have the opportunity to develop their science communication skills, network with fellow graduate students passionate about science education and outreach, learn from expert writers and professional science communicators, and produce an original writing for publication. ComSciCon-Triangle is a local version of the national ComSciCon workshop, held annually in Cambridge, MA. Founded in 2013 by graduate students at Harvard and MIT, over 300 graduate students nationwide have already participated in the national ComSciCon programs.

Local Workshop Dates

When: Saturday, March 23rd, 2019 and Saturday, April 6th, 2019 (~8:30am-3pm)

Where: NC Museum of Natural Sciences (Mar 23), Research Triangle Park (Apr 6)

Online applications are open until 11:59pm on February 8th. 50 attendees will be selected through a competitive application process. Please apply only if you can commit to attending BOTH days of the workshop.
