McNair participants are either&nbsp;<strong>first-generation college students with financial need, or members of a group that is traditionally underrepresented<\/strong>&nbsp;in graduate education and have demonstrated strong academic potential. The program&#8217;s goal is to increase graduate degree awards for students from underrepresented segments of society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Info Session for the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/trio.dasa.ncsu.edu\/mcnair-scholars-program\/about-mcnair\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ronald E.
