{"id":17,"date":"2018-08-17T23:26:54","date_gmt":"2018-08-18T03:26:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/research.ece.ncsu.edu\/myece\/undergrad\/?page_id=17"},"modified":"2025-12-17T15:41:17","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T20:41:17","slug":"changing-major","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/my.ece.ncsu.edu\/undergrad\/academic-information\/changing-major\/","title":{"rendered":"Updating Major\/Concentration"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>When to declare<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">DUAL DEGREE<\/span>: Students must have completed both ECE 109 and 200 prior to submitting the request to declare the dual degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">CONCENTRATIONS<\/span>: Students must be actively enrolled in at least one 300-level ECE course\u00a0(not including ECE 380\/381\/383), or have completed at least one 300-level ECE course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students must declare their concentration and\/or dual degree prior to applying for graduation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to declare your concentration:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complete the Curriculum Change Request form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please read each question carefully as the form has different versions based on if you are a new student in fall 2025 or a continuing student who started prior to 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When will the change be processed?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you submit your form in October or November, please allow ample time for our team to process your request.
