There are two parts to the I-9 Form, Section 1 and Section 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Section 1<\/strong> must completed <em>on or before your first day of work<\/em>. An email will be sent to your NC State email address with instructions and log in information to complete section 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Section 2<\/strong> must be completed no later than 3 business days from your first day of work. A Social Security Number (SSN) is required to enroll in direct deposit (Step 3) and once the card is issued, employees should contact<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/controller.ofa.ncsu.edu\/payroll-and-employment-tax\/for-foreign-nationals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>International Compensation &amp; Taxation<\/strong><\/a><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>(ICT) <strong>(<\/strong><a href=\"mailto:ictquestions@ncsu.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>ictquestions@ncsu.edu<\/strong><\/a><strong>) <\/strong>to update their SSN in the HR system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ICT will guide the employee through their process to upload their SS Card for accurate information update.
