Graduate students do not need advisor approval to enroll. If you have a financial hold, please contact the <strong>University Cashier\u2019s Office<\/strong> via email to clear it prior to registering for classes. The best way to contact the Cashier\u2019s Office is through their\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:student_accounts@ncsu.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">email<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-slightly-larger-font-size wp-elements-1\">Spring 2027 ECE Grad Course Request Form <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are unable to enroll directly in an ECE course through the enrollment wizard, please submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfkU7kIrYyitPu9HseK_GCqDeGl3eZ2G5HnByehVE5eCd7tMA\/viewform?pli=1\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfkU7kIrYyitPu9HseK_GCqDeGl3eZ2G5HnByehVE5eCd7tMA\/viewform?pli=1\">Course Enrollment Request form<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Requests are reviewed on a rolling basis; however, priority is given to ECE students, so enrollment is not immediate. Depending on course availability, final processing for non-ECE majors may take until the end of the first week of classes for Spring 2027 (classes begin <strong>January 11, 2027<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All students require permission from the ECE course instructor after <strong>January 19, 2027<\/strong>. You must attach a copy of the instructor&#8217;s written\/emailed approval to your course request form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ECE Graduate students requesting enrollment in CSC courses should use the request form here:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/webapps.csc.ncsu.edu\/course_pre_registration\/request_non_csc.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/webapps.csc.ncsu.edu\/course_pre_registration\/request_non_csc.php<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-slightly-larger-font-size wp-elements-2\">Enrollment Restrictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Course Load Limit Exceeded<\/strong>: Graduate students are limited to a maximum of 13 credits per semester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Instructor Permission Required<\/strong>: Some ECE courses require Department approval. Please find instructions on how to enroll below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contact the instructor for permission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forward the instructor&#8217;s approval email to ecegradoffice@ncsu.edu with your Studetn ID number <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The graduate office will enroll you once received.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ECE department does not strictly enforce prerequisites. If you are blocked by a prerequisite restriction, please follow the instructor permission required instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-slightly-larger-font-size\">Online (EOL) Enrollment Restrictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On-campus students are <strong>not<\/strong> permitted to enroll in EOL courses. You must register for on-campus sections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master&#8217;s students are <strong>not <\/strong>permitted to enroll in EOL courses while participating in a remote internship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PhD students who are not local may enroll in EOL courses. However, if you do not already hold an MS degree, you should be enrolled in the online MS degree track.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you would like to review the difference in tuition and fee rates between online and on-campus programs, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=https:\/\/studentservices.ncsu.edu\/your-resources\/cashier\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University Cashier&#8217;s Tuition Page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-wolfpack-red-color has-text-color has-link-color has-slightly-larger-font-size wp-elements-3\">Registration After Census Day<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This final day to add, drop, or swap courses with a tuition adjustment is the Census Day (the 10th day of the term)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ECE Graduate Office will not modify student schedules after Census Day. If you must add or enroll in a course at this point, you must complete and submit a <strong>Schedule Revision Request<\/strong> directly through MyPack Portal.
