Meeting Room Technology<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

ECE Meeting Rooms are designed to be flexible spaces to enhance productivity, including supporting hybrid meeting formats. All meeting rooms are reservable on Google Calendar or available for walk-in use\u2014note that reservations always take priority over walk-in usage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please leave all furniture as you found it, and turn off lights, leaving the door open when you\u2019re finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n \n \n \n \n <\/svg>\n\n<\/span>\n \n \n TV (Ditto)\n <\/span>\n <\/span>\n<\/H2>\n\n\n\n

Ditto, running on the Apple TVs allows you to wireless display your content on the TV easily and simply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

macOS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Use AirPlay to mirror or extend your Mac display by choosing the room from the AirPlay\/Share Screen status menu in the menubar\u2019s Control Center. You must have Bluetooth enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Windows<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If your Windows device is controlled by ECE, launch Ditto from your Start menu and enter the room code to connect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For all other devices, including personal Windows computers, visit go.ncsu.edu\/ditto<\/a> and enter the room code to connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must be on either the ncsu<\/strong> or eduroam<\/strong> wifi networks, not ncsu-guest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iOS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On your iOS device, swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open Control Center. Tap Screen Mirroring then select the room and enter the code displayed on screen. You must have Bluetooth enabled to use AirPlay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HDMI<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There is an HDMI cable provided below the TV. The TV will automatically switch<\/strong> to that HDMI cable once it is connected to your device. When finished, please ensure that you re-coil the cable<\/strong> and hang it on the hanger provided.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Currently, EB2 2095, EB2 3110, and EB2 3001 are equipped as Zoom Rooms.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a Zoom Room, utilize the control panel on the table to check-in for your scheduled room reservation, start meetings or share content on the TV. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ensure you tap “Check-In” at the beginning of your meeting to confirm your use of the room. You can be checked in by starting a meeting, sharing content, making a phone call, or tapping Check-In.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open the GoLink for the room (e.g.: go.ncsu.edu\/kaptivo-3110) in a browser on your device (laptop, tablet, or smartphone). Keep the browser window open for duration of your session.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Enter your name<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Confirm by pressing the flashing button by the whiteboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Use Share on Kaptivo page to invite others to view\u2014they must either be on the campus network or connected via VPN.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Click \u201cEnd Session\u201d when completed or press lit button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    1. Connect USB cable connected to Meeting Owl to your laptop. Please note that in one of our 3 Zoom Rooms, direct connections are not possible (see console for instructions).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Open your video conferencing platform (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Change platform audio (microphone and speakers) and video to the Meeting Owl (in Settings).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Dial 7 and phone number to reach external line (or instead dial 5-digit NC State number).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Press phone icon to start call.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Press people button to join another number to the call.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. After dialing, press JOIN arrow (below display).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. Repeat process if needed. Press phone icon to terminate call.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
