To honor their accomplishments, each individual became recipients of the inaugural Faculty-2-Faculty Mentor Recognition.<\/p>\n<p>Of those who were acknowledged, seven members from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering were included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brian Hughes<\/li>\n<li>Eddie Grant<\/li>\n<li>Leda Lunardi<\/li>\n<li>Mesut Baran<\/li>\n<li>Scott Ferguson<\/li>\n<li>Yan Solihin<\/li>\n<li>Rajinder Khosla<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One of the recipients, Yan Solihin, along with collegue Tania Paskova are also named as program directors at the National Science Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>In January, which is recognized as National Mentoring Month, the College of Engineering Faculty Advancement&#8217;s junior faculty invited members to nominate a professor who dedicated themselves to providing strong mentoring and support through the guidance of professional development and career paths.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Christine Grant, the Associate Dean of Faculty Advancement in the College commented, &#8220;The mentorship of our early career faculty is an important component of what we do in the College of Engineering as they navigate their professional environment and career path.&#8221; Grant, as well as Peggy A.
